Sandile Mkhize Dj citi lyts shot and killed in Soweto
Sandile Mkhize, better known as DJ Citi Lyts, was a popular rapper. Mkhize, the late rapper Linda “Prokid” Mkhize’s younger brother, was shot and killed in the early hours of Monday morning in Dube, Soweto, according to police.

When the rapper and his friends were shot at by suspects in a silver VW Polo, they were with him. Paramedics pronounced Mkhize dead.
Police have confirmed opening a murder investigation after a musician was shot and killed in Soweto, according to a statement.
“Gauteng police have launched a manhunt for suspects after a musician was shot and killed in Dube, Soweto, in the early hours of Monday February 14 2022,” said Lt-Col Mavela Masondo. At around 2 a.m., police were called to a murder scene in Dube, where they discovered a 32-year-old man lying on the ground with gunshot wounds to the upper body. The paramedics declared him dead.”
Police said the motive for his death was unknown, and they were still looking for the perpetrators.
DJ Citi Lyts began his career as the hypeman and DJ for rapper F-Eezy. He became a member of Ambitiouz Entertainment and released hit songs such as Malambane, Shishiliza, Washa Washa, and Vurra. He eventually left Ambitiouz Entertainment to pursue a solo career.
