Bluebell Festival April – May 2022 Hole Park Gardens in Kent

In 2022, we hope to experience some of Kent’s greatest events, including the annual Bluebell Festival at Hole Park Gardens in Rolvenden. The Bluebell Wood is one of nature’s wonders, with a purple haze stretching as far as the eye can see and a beautiful aroma filling the air as you stroll along the carefully marked bluebell trail. The bluebell trail leads to the refurbished ice house via streams and wooded paths.

The event runs from mid-April through mid-May. The Coachhouse tearooms will be open, providing light lunches as well as delectable home-baked cakes and cream teas. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available. Dogs on leashes are welcome in Hole Park Gardens.

Further information at Hole Park.

Spa Valley Railway – 25th Anniversary Gala!

The Spa Valley Railway opened the railway to Groombridge 25 years ago, in August 1997. Over the last two decades, the Spa Valley Train has evolved to become Tunbridge Wells’ most popular tourist attraction, and it is frequently referred to as the South East’s friendliest railway!

26th, 27th, 28th & 29th August 2022, The railway is celebrating 25yrs of running trains from Tunbridge Wells West through the High Weald!

The railway also houses a great fleet of Steam & Heritage Diesel Locomotives, including Battle of Britain No. 34053 ‘Sir Keith Park,’ an 1876 constructed Steam engine known as Terrier ‘Sutton,’ and ‘Thumper’ 1317, the train that closed our route in 1985.

We would not exist today without the committed volunteers who make up our great railway, so come along and celebrate 25 years of operating trains with us during our four-day celebration in August 2022!
